Mother’s Day Remembering Jar

Happy Mother’s Day, moms! I’m going to spend the day relishing every bit of it, despite not being able to go many places. One thing I was bummed about as the day approached was not getting the cute, kid-created craft that usually comes along with my son going to school.

However, my day started out with this — I’m calling it a remembering jar.

My husband gets full credit for this Mother’s Day craft, and it’s full of little nuggets that my son has said (and a truck, my son insisted on a truck). Looking at it reminds me of each and every time he said these things and the memories that go along with them. You can read more of these quotes here.

I asked him where he got the idea, he said his brain. I was impressed. Want to make one? He used what he had on hand; an old applesauce jar, some green painter’s tape, broken up popsicle sticks (the truck is made of those too), and a whole lot of love.
