April Is Stress Awareness Month…

Yep, that’s right. April is Stress Awareness Month. Like I need a month to make me aware of my stress…trust me, I know it’s there! But seriously, there’s more to it than that. It’s about being aware of how stress can impact every facet of your life, from the physical to the mental and the emotional. It can wreak havoc on your peace of mind, your relationships, and undoubtedly your patience.

Recently, I had the honor of writing a few helpful tips for dealing with stress for the amazing MamaZen. You can check out the full tips for easing your stress here. But, here’s a sneak peek:

What ways have you tried to deal with your stress that have worked for you?

How to Help Kids Handle Disappointment

With Christmas right around the corner, I thought this was a good one to share. This was a recent piece for ThinkJr Creations on helping kids handle disappointment. One of my favorite things to do is read books to my son. My husband and I started reading to our son before he was even born. Today, he loves books and “reads” all of the time. I think one of the biggest reasons he’s such a book fan is that we started reading to him early and often.
