I was thinking, after having to adjust over the past few months to a new way of doing things — working from home while homeschooling, wearing a mask everywhere, staying 6-feet away from other people, and talking to friends and family through a computer screen (or a piece of glass), when we start to…slowly…return to how things used to be….it’s going to take an even bigger adjustment.
I mean, I have gotten used to not wearing make-up, throwing on a baseball cap whenever I need to go somewhere, and when it comes to jeans, ha! what are they? I mean, I’m really hoping that when I return to work in the fall my boss lets us all wear pajamas for the first two weeks to help us get back into the swing of things. (just kidding…sort of)
I have also gotten used to my husband spending more time with us (unfortunately because of cuts at work, some of which will persist long after we have “re-opened”), having time at home with my son, and let’s not even get started on how much my dogs have enjoyed this 24/7 time with all of us at home.
But, all joking aside, what do you think? What are going to be some of the biggest challenges as we start to move through each re-opening phase?
What changes do you think will stick around? (like curbside shopping maybe?)
All I know right now is I need to concentrate on eating better and keep on walking as much as I can, because I know I won’t get to wear pajamas to work. 😛
